Kate & Pippa's Royal Wedding Looks for Less

I was among the millions of people around the world who watched Kate Middleton marry Prince William very early this morning for two reasons: 1. I'm a sucker for love stories with happy endings and 2. I wanted to see what type of gown Kate would wear.

When I first saw her step into the car en route to Westminster Abbey, I thought she looked beautiful. It wasn't until she got out of the car that I was able to see the full gown and I fell in love with it.

Once I got to work, I talked to a few co-workers and we all thought she looked stunning and regal in her Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen dress. The lace detailing was amazing as well as the tiara that was loaned by the Queen. In fact, the entire bridal party looked great. I've never really been a fan of most bridesmaid or maid of honor dresses but Pippa's dress was lovely.

I'm certain that in the coming days and weeks, we'll see similar versions of both dresses on brides, bridesmaids and maid of honors around the world. Speaking of weddings, are you getting married soon? Did Kate's dress inspire you to forego the ever-popular, strapless gown for a classic, elegant lace dress? If you answered 'yes' to either question, I've got good news! You too can don a similar gown like the Princess or her sister but for a fraction of the cost! Just check out these lovely and inexpensive gowns by Unique Vintage.
